Welcome!

Are you tired of all the petty bickering and name calling that goes on in politics? Me, too.

As a single mom and businesswoman, I believe we’re all in this together. Our lives aren’t centered on what political party we belong to. We’re focused on our families and our jobs and having a community that’s safe and enjoyable to live in.

That’s why I decided to run for the Senate four years ago. And it’s the main reason I was able to get so much done during my first term. I worked with legislators from both sides of the aisle to support Colorado businesses, jobs, children and families. Almost all of my bills were co-sponsored with a Republican or passed with bipartisan support. And, because of that bipartisan approach, I’ve been recognized by many groups as one of the one of the most productive legislators at the Capitol.

Four years ago, I promised to stand up for our common values and to seek common-sense solutions that work for all of us. I believe I lived up to that commitment during the past four years. And I promise to continue doing it if you elect me to another term.

I’ll be kicking off my re-election campaign at 4 p.m. on Saturday May 19 at the Westlands Park Pavilion, 5701 South Quebec Street, Greenwood Village. I hope to see you there. If you do attend, please say hello. And let me know any concerns or issues you feel I should know about.

Every year, I do an end-of-session tour of Senate District 26 to connect with the people who live in the communities throughout the district. These are not partisan events. They’re part of my service to you as your senator. I’ll share some of the highlights of what happened in the Legislature this year, including the special session. But it’s also your opportunity to ask questions or talk about what’s on your mind. Here’s the list of the remaining events on the tour. I hope to see you at one of them:

  • 9 a.m. June 2. Ecotech Institute, 1400 South Abilene Street, Aurora.
  • 6:30 p.m. June 5. South Metro Denver Chamber, 2154 E. Commons Ave., Centennial. That’s in The Streets at SouthGlenn.

Thank you for your continued support. We’re still in this together. And together we can make Colorado an even better place to live.
