Happy Holidays,

There are so many gifts that the holiday season brings to us all. For me, the season ushers peace and rejuvenation. It is easy to let the course of an entire year bring stress and fatigue into our lives, and I encourage you to not let that happen. The holiday season is one of only a few times in the year that allows us to recharge in the company of our family, friends, and loved ones. We can let go of the hardships that we all face for a short while and refocus our energy towards reconnecting with what drives us for the rest of the year and motivates us all to continue to overcome the hurdles that still lie ahead.

Not only in my personal life, but as a Colorado State Senator, I know there will be tremendous challenges to surpass in the coming year. However, the coming weeks will serve as a time for me to spend with my girls and my community so I can arrive with a sense of peace, relaxation, and renewal to tackle the challenges of the New Year. Going into 2012, nothing feels insurmountable or too big to tackle.
